Worldschooling-what’s it all about???

We aren’t exactly sure but we are going to find out! On April 1st we will be heading to Merida, Mexico to attend Project World School Family Summit, we will be joining around 300 other people who have the same passion for life and our kids.  Since we first joined the Worldschoolers facebook group we have been inspired beyond belief to live life like these families.  Traveling nonstop, learning form the world, getting absorbed into culture, and lots of yolo (you only live once) experiences-we were sold on this idea.  I think the true test for Jimi and I is if we get butterflies in our bellies than its a sign.  A sign that our souls are interested and we must follow.  I cannot describe how excited we are to learn all the ins and outs of this lifestyle.  At times I get freaked out when I think about homeschooling our 3 kids, I mean their education is in our hands—that freaks me out!!!  Not gonna lie!  Then I reel myself back in and remember that just because they won’t be in a classroom setting doesn’t mean they won’t learn.  Learning from seeing things firsthand is way more impactful and meaningful.  I know my education was possibly the most boring way to learn anything which is why I now have so much emphasis on our children’s education.  I am very much like our daughter Skylar, my mind was always wandering, I found it very difficult to sit in class and stay focused.  I was one of those kids that white knuckled my way through school with no desire to continue my education after high school, that seriously would have been absolute torture.  I don’t want our kids to say that when they are done with school.  So what better way to handle it than take them globe trotting around the world and absorb everything we come across.  Who knows what the outcome will be?  We don’t but the challenge has been taken and accepted!

Hi, this is a very useful article. It is a long established fact that a reader will be distracted by the readable content of a page when looking at its layout.
